USF AT A GLANCE
LAST TIME OUT
USF earned its first win of the season, defeating the California Golden Bears 67-62 on Thursday at Haas Pavilion. USF led the game for over 36 minutes, however, the Bears made it interesting taking the lead very briefly in the fourth quarter. The Dons were led by Ioanna Krimili who had 15 of her game-high 26 points in the fourth quarter. USF shot a season-low 20.0% from three (4-for-20) but it would not matter as USF was able to close it out from the charity stripe. The Dons went 15-for-23 from the free throw line and 7-for-8 in the final period.
OFFENSE/DEFENSE
The Dons offense is averaging 74.0 points per game which is third in the WCC and 99th n the nation. Defensively, they are allowing 77.7 points per game which is 247th in the nation and ninth in the West Coast Conference. The Dons scored 75 or more five times last year and went 4-1.
A WIN WOULD MEAN...
•If the Dons pull off the win against Fresno State they would improve to 19-16 against FSU and 13-5 at home against the Bulldogs.
• Make the Dons .500 for the first time since they fell to 7-7 following a loss at the hands of Pacific on Dec. 30, 2020.
• USF will improve to 55-73 under Goodenbour.
