SAN FRANCISCO – Fifth year head coach Jack Kennedy is pleased to announce the addition of Param Sodhi (Folsom, Calif./Vista Del Lago HS) who signed a National Letter of Intent and will join the Dons in the fall of 2021.
"We are very excited to welcome Param to the Dons family," said Kennedy. "He shows all of the qualities we look for in a student-athlete as a very good student and a consistent competitor. We are excited to see his development over the next four years."
Sodhi earned multiple league awards competing for Vista Del Lago boasting scoring averages of 72.1 and 73.0 in 2020 and 2019, respectively. He was named the San Joaquin Section Most Valuable Player, helping guide his team to NorCals – the farthest a Vista Del Lago team has gone in 10 year history of the school.
In 2020 he already has two top-seven finishes in American Junior Golf Association contests and finished in the top-10 at the Silicon Valley Amateur. He won the Sac City Championship by 10 strokes, carding a 63-70.
Sodhi placed third at the AJGA Junior All Star at El Conquistador. Then he qualified for the Junior All-Star Invitational at Lake Oconee, Georgia, where he shot the lowest round in Vista Del Lago HS history. He also won the JTNC at Greenhorn Creek by 11 shots and placed third at the Sac City Amateur.
