Aoibhe Richardson's record time and top-10 finish in the 5,000 meters Saturday at the elite Husky Classic in Seattle highlighted a big day for the University of San Francisco track team, with two program records and plenty of top finishes across two meets – the University of Washington's Husky Classic at Dempsey Indoor, and Boise State's Bronco Challenge at Jacksons Indoor Track in Nampa, Idaho.
SEATTLE — Richardson was a top-10 finisher among an elite 5,000 field Saturday at the Husky Classic. She was the No. 2 collegiate finisher and finished seventh overall with a USF record time of 15 minutes, 52.54 seconds.
Richardson's record time put her on the cusp of possibly qualifying for the 2020 NCAA Division I Indoor Track and Field Championships in March. After the weekend, her performance ranks No. 16 in the nation.
Anna Tait also competed at the Husky Classic, posting a time of 9:54.76 in the 3,000.

The middle distance crew also had their day, with Cardenas finishing third in the 400 in 57.75 and How adding a top-10 finish in 59.31 (10th). The Dons had a fast group in the 800, with

All that speed also showed in the 4x400 relay, where the Dons narrowly finished in second place behind Hawaii by only 1/2 a second. Praprotnik, Morales, Cardenas and Pradere all ran a leg in the race.
San Francisco will next compete at the 2020 Mountain Pacific Sports Federation Championships on Feb. 28-29 back in Seattle at UW's Dempsey Indoor facility. Follow USF track and cross country on Twitter and Instagram at @DonsXCTF for updates.
