TUCSON, Ariz. - The University of San Francisco women's tennis team had a doubleheader today against Montana and Arizona. The Dons walked away with a 4-0 win  against the Grizzlies but came up short against the Wildcats and fell 4-0.

"It was a great opportunity to compete against two programs from different conferences," said head coach Peter Bartlett. "It was tough playing back-to-back but it showed us where we need to be in order to win against a team of [a higher] caliber."

MATCH VS. MONTANA
In the first dual match of the day, the Dons were quick to clinch a 4-0 victory over Montana. 

Rita Colyer and Arianna Capogrosso set the tone of the match with a 6-3 win in doubles. The Dons recorded another 6-3 win from Mya Bui and Emily Maxfield, and the doubles point went to USF.

Maxfield and Capogrosso carried the momentum in singles, both recording 6-1, 6-3 wins against their opponents. After Colyer won on her court, 6-3, 6-4, the rest of singles went unfinished and the Dons won the match against the Grizzlies.

MATCH VS. ARIZONA
In the second match of the day, USF faced off with Arizona, which resulted in a 4-0 loss for the Dons.

USF and Arizona were tied at 1-1 in doubles thanks to a 6-3 match win from Bui and Maxfield, but the doubles point ultimately went to the Wildcats.

In singles, the Dons couldn't get a win on any of the courts, and the match win went to Arizona.
