SAN FRANCISCO – Vern Glenn arrived in the Bay Area in 1990 when he began working for KRON. The Richmond, Virginia native and two-time Emmy winner for Best Sports Broadcaster has built his career around one belief: "We have to inform – but we also have the opportunity to entertain."
In this special edition of Dons From Distance, Director of Creative Video
Katie Morgan sat down with the Honorary Don. The two discuss Glenn's beginnings, and the people who inspired him at a time when there were very few sports broadcasting schools.
They touch on how Glenn became known as "Mr. Involvement," and the many unique segments he's participated in over the years.
The two go on to discuss the Marin resident's home life, while raising three sons. Glenn jokes how his kids would rather be outside swimming than watching a game with him.
