Anonymous Donor Commits $1.25 Million to Launch New Era for USF Athletics

SAN FRANCISCO, Calif. - An anonymous donor has made a transformative $1.25 million commitment to launch a new era for University of San Francisco (USF) Athletics under the leadership of Director of Athletics Brent Blaylock. The gift includes $750,000 to strengthen USF men's basketball through the Bridge to Excellence initiative and $500,000 to establish the Director of Athletics Leadership Fund.
The donor's $500,000 pledge establishes the Director of Athletics Leadership Fund, which will serve as Blaylock's strategic resource for advancing USF Athletics. The pledge serves as a call-to-action, encouraging immediate fundraising momentum in support of the entire department by matching every gift to the Director of Athletics Leadership Fund through December 31st, 2026, up to $500,000. Together, the founding commitment and matching challenge create an opportunity to generate $1 million in new philanthropic investment that will strengthen USF Athletics and expand opportunities for USF student-athletes.
