TEMPE, Ariz. – The University of San Francisco women's tennis team was named an Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) 2020 All-Academic team and had four athletes named Scholar-Athletes as announced by the ITA on Monday.
The Dons finished the 2020 year with a team grade point average of 3.63. All eight members of the team finished a 3.0 or better, and four players accumulate a 3.5 GPA or higher.
Mya Bui,
Arianna Capogrosso,
Rita Colyer, and
Alexa Meyer all earned scholar-athlete honors for the Dons. Bui, Colyer, and Meyer were also named to the list in 2019.
All-Academic teams collectively boast a GPA of 3.20 or higher. In order to earn ITA Scholar-Athlete status, a player must be a varsity letter winner, have a grade point average of at least 3.50 (on a 4.0 scale) for the current academic year, and have been enrolled at their present institution for at least two semesters.
