Tuesday Testimonial: Suzanne Enos O'Meara

SAN FRANCISCO – Suzanne Enos O'Meara has a significant place in USF Athletics history as the first female student-athlete ever to receive an athletic scholarship at the University upon the launch of the women's athletics program in 1976-77. In this week's edition of Tuesday Testimonials, Executive Senior Associate Athletics Director, Frank Allocco, sits down with the Dons legend and covers a variety of topics.

Enos O'Meara, a Marin County native, takes a deep dive into her athletics history, starting at her catholic school's cement courts before competing at the varsity level at Sir Francis Drake High School in San Anselmo. She details how she was recruited to USF and what it was like to be a student-athlete in early days of the department's women's athletics program.

Lastly, the USF Athletics Hall of Fame and West Coast Conference Hall of Honor member discusses life after college athletics and why the University of San Francisco holds a special place in her family's life.

You can watch the episode on the USF Athletics YouTube page, and you can catch past episodes on the Dons YouTube page or by visiting the Tuesday Testimonials playlist.
