BOULDER CITY, Nev. – Competing in their final tournament of the fall, the University of San Francisco women's golf team prevailed through gusty conditions on the course in The Clash at Boulder Creek to finish third overall as a team with a total of 18-over-882. Notably, this marked the second consecutive tournament in which the Dons placed third overall.
TOURNAMENT RESULTS:
- Following the first day of action, USF was leading the pack as a team after shooting 2-under-286 across the initial eighteen holes. On day two, the conditions became a factor at Boulder Creek Golf Club as winds averaged 30 miles per hour with gusts up to 50 miles per hour. Holding strong, the Dons remained in the top three after round two, in which they shot 20-over-30 as a unit to push their total to 18-over-594. Moving into Tuesday, USF would go onto to Even par to finish with a total of 18-over-882, just behind UNLV and Fresno State.
- Individually, Annika Borrelli took command down the stretch to finish tied for third overall with a 1-over-217. Close behind, Riana Mission tied for eleventh place by shooting a 4-0ver-220. Impressing for the Dons, Jade Siphomsay finished tied for twenty-fifth with a 7-over-223.
- Rounding out the group, Hannah Zeman tied for forty-seventh with a 12-over-228 while Toni Sottile tied for fifty-fifth with a 15-over-231.
CATCHING UP WITH COACH DOELL:
"It was a great effort to close out the fall season. We had some elements on day two that could have altered our momentum, but we hung on and made some key shots to remain in the top three. I am just proud of our group for battling…it is a pretty positive way to finish the semester and something we can definitely build on moving forward in the spring and beyond.

USF has wrapped up competition for the fall semester as the Dons will not officially compete until February 7 + 8, 2022 at The Valley Invitational (hosted by CSU Bakersfield) in Bakersfield, Calif.
