MGOLF | Dons Shoot 1-Under, Stay in First

BANDON, Ore. – The University of San Francisco men's golf team continues to play tremendous golf in Oregon. The Dons finished the second round shooting a 1-under 283, their second-consecutive round under par as a team.
After 36 holes the Dons now sit at 11-under with a team score of 555 (274-283). USF opened up a six-stroke lead on second place Long Beach State who finished the day with the low round of 282.
Christoffer Palsson is one of three Dons in the top-10. He's currently tied for second after shooting a 1-under 70. His two-day score is a 5-under 137 (67-70). Palsson opened with a double on four and went into the 10th hole 1-over thanks to a birdie on nine. On the back-9 he recorded birdies on 10, 13, and 16. For the tournament, Palsson now has 11 birdies which is tied for the tournament lead.
Soren Lind sits tied for sixth after shooting a 1-over 72. After 36 holes, Lind has a 3-under 139 (67-72). Matthew Anderson made a big jump on the leaderboard climbing 23 spots on the board to finish today tied for eighth. He shot a 3-under 68, tied for the second lowest individual round of the day. For the tournament, Anderson has a 2-under 140 (68-72).
Tim Widing sits in a tie at 15th after shooting a 3-over 74. For the tournament, Widing is even at 141 (68-73). Alex Chin, competing as an individual, is tied for 23rd after shooting a 2-under 69. Toby Briggs is tied for 49th at eight over after shooting a 1-over 73 on Monday.
The individual leader after two rounds is Fresno State's Tommy Stephenson with a 7-under 135 (70-65).
The Dons will play the final round of the Bandon Dunes Championship tomorrow morning. USF will tee off at 8:30 a.m. Fans can follow live results via Golfstat.com
