SPOKANE, Wash. — The University of San Francisco women's tennis team had its four-match winning streak snapped Saturday, as the Dons fell, 4-1, to Gonzaga in a West Coast Conference match at the Stevens Center.

The Dons (10-5, 2-2 WCC) narrowly lost the doubles point to start the match. They got a win from
Chiho Mushika and
Maria Martinez Vaquero at the No. 3 spot to even the doubles competition at 1-1.
Arianna Capogrosso and
Rita Colyer battled to a tiebreaker at the No. 2 spot, eventually falling, 7-6, to Gonzaga's Kate Ketels and Haruna Tsuruta.

Martinez Vaquero came back and won her No. 2 singles match, beating Adrianna Sosnowska, 6-2, 6-4. But the Bulldogs got singles wins at the No. 3, No. 5 and No. 6 spots to clinch the team victory.

The Dons next return home for their final three matches of the season, hosting San Diego on Friday and BYU on Saturday, both at the Olympic Club.
