FRESNO, Calif. — The University of San Francisco women's golf team stood in seventh place Monday after two rounds of play at the Fresno State Classic, being played at the Copper River Country Club.
Sophomore Hannah Zeman led the Dons with a two-round 145 total (73-72) to sit tied for 12th at one over. Zeman posted five birdies in the second round alone and eight total on the day. She closed out the second round with seven straight holes of par or better, including three birdies – two consecutive on her last two holes.
Pearl Rojanapeansatith was the Dons' No. 2 scorer. She was four-over par with back-to-back rounds of 74 to total 148 and sit tied for 28th after day one. Annika Borrelli shot seven-over 151 (73-78) and was tied for 43rd. Joan Soewondo (77-76) and Toni St. John (75-78) both shot nine-over totals of 153 to sit tied for 50th.
San Francisco totaled 595 as a team through two rounds, only one stroke behind both Cal Poly and UC Davis (594), who were tied for fifth. The Dons were in striking distance of fourth place, trailing Sacramento State by nine strokes.
