AZUSA, Calif. — The University of San Francisco track and field team competed in its first major meet of the spring on Friday and Saturday, posting numerous personal bests and top regional marks at the Bryan Clay Invitational, hosted by Azusa Pacific University.
 
Sarah Marske set a new school record in the 100-meter hurdles, placing second in Saturday's finals with a time of 14.87 seconds. 
Rayne Anwar narrowly missed the program record in the open 100, finishing fourth in Saturday's final in 12.04.
 
A number of Dons on the distance side put themselves among the West Region's top-50 early in the season. 
Eve Jensen broke the 16 minutes, 30 seconds barrier in the 5,000 meters, running 16:27.41 to finish ninth overall and put herself at No. 41 in the West. 
Baneet Bains ran a personal-best 10:35.98 in the 3,000 steeplechase, putting her at No. 34 regionally.
 
Aoibhe Richardson set a new personal best in the 1,500, running to a top-10 finish with a time of 4:21.15, ranking her No. 33 in the region. 
Anna Tait was close behind Richardson, finishing in 4:22.64 to rank No. 48.
 
On the men's side, 
Ed Kiolbasa dipped under the 30-minute mark in the 10,000, running 29:46.65. His time ranks 51st in the West Region. 
Daniel Maneloveg, broke the 14:30 barrier in the 5,000, running 14:27.96.
 
"Another successful trip to Azusa Pacific this weekend," said San Francisco interim head cross country and track & field coach 
Tim Riley. :With a couple competitions under the belt, we really wanted to focus on competing this weekend and the results would follow."
 
San Francisco next competes at the Fresno State and UC Davis invitationals on Saturday.
