
MSOC | Four Dons Earn WCC All-Academic Honors

SAN MATEO, Calif. – Four members of the University of San Francisco men's soccer team earned West Coast Conference All-Academic honors as announced by the conference office on Monday morning.
Graduate student Alejandro Munoz earned first team honors, while Easton Harryman, Connor Mcauslan, and Ruben Stuiver earned honorable mention honors.
To qualify, a student-athlete must be of at least sophomore standing, own a minimum 3.20 grade point average and be a starter or an important reserve, having participated in at least 50% of the institution's completed contests.
For Munoz, an entrepreneurship major with a 3.78 GPA, this award caps a brilliant final season on the pitch. The San Francisco native had a tremendous season in which he earned WCC Defensive Player of the Week following a shutout against LMU. He played in eight matches starting three for the Dons. In 490 minutes played he tallied a miniscule 0.73 goals against average, with 23 saves two shutouts and a 3-1-2 record.
This is the first time Harryman and Mcauslan have earned all-academic honors. Harryman, a management major with a 3.75 GPA, played in 10 matches with seven starts. The defender was a huge part of the Dons tremendous defense that allowed just seven goals in conference play.
Mcauslan, also a management major with a 3.32 GPA, a defensive midfielder was also a big part of USF's defense that posted five shutouts on the year.
This is Stuiver's third time on the all-academic honorable mention team. The international business major boasts a 3.51 GPA. In three matches played he recorded seven saves.
The Dons excelled both on the pitch and the classroom in the fall. The Dons finished the fall semester with a team GPA of 3.64. 27 players achieved a 3.0 or higher, with 17 players sporting a GPA north of 3.5. Four players, Giacomo Boccuzzi, Rodrigo Bueno, Harryman, and Brad Yue all recorded perfect 4.0 GPAs.
