SAN FRANCISCO — The University of San Francisco Athletics Department is pleased to announce a multi-year extension with Provident Credit Union, rated the top Credit Union in California by Forbes for 2021.
The extended partnership will continue to enhance USF's athletic program while providing valuable services to the entire university community.
"We are thrilled to announce this extended partnership with Provident Credit Union," said Director of Athletics
Joan McDermott. "Provident has been a tremendous partner for our department, and their continued support will allow us to provide a first rate experience for our student athletes, build for the future, and make new strides towards our goal of national championship contention every year."
This new enhanced partnership is an extension of the previous agreement signed in February of 2017. Under the new agreement, Provident will receive naming rights to the gym floor at War Memorial at the Sobrato Center, benefit from enhanced signage and visibility during games and telecasts, and will increase their collaboration with student life, human resources, and alumni.
Provident Credit Union is rooted in education and was founded to serve Bay Area teachers in 1950. They share the USF values of social responsibility and service. Provident is proud to be the Bay Area's Credit Union with 20 local branches (21 in all) to serve USF Alumni, Students, Faculty and Staff. Together, USF and Provident are excited for this continued partnership and look forward to continue to be a financial resource for the USF Community.
