SAN FRANCISCO, Calif. – After earning their first postseason bid since 2016 last season, the University of San Francisco women's basketball team and head coach
Molly Goodenbour have officially announced their non-conference schedule for the upcoming 2021-22 season.
Following a successful year in 2020-21 that saw the Dons get their first postseason win since 1998, USF will play 13 non-conference games this season, with seven contests coming at home and six on the road. Notably, the Dons are scheduled to battle four Pac-12 opponents prior to conference play- Cal, Washington State, USC and Colorado.
Aiming to build off of a campaign that saw
Ioanna Krimili selected as the WCC Newcomer of the Year, USF will begin their journey with five straight home games. First, the Dons will welcome Chico State for an exhibition match on Oct. 30 followed by their true home opener against Morgan State on Nov. 9 at War Memorial at the Sobrato Center. Shortly thereafter, USF will complete their homestand with matchups against California (Nov. 13), UC Davis (Nov. 18) and Northern Colorado (Nov. 21).
Closing out November, the Dons will travel to Reno for a tournament at the University of Nevada as they will square off against Drake (Nov. 26), Idaho (Nov. 12) and the host Wolfpack (Nov. 28) over the weekend.
Preparing for a competitive conference slate, USF will then make their way to Pullman for a battle with Washington State on Dec. 2 followed by another Pac-12 showdown at USC on Dec. 5. Just two days later, the Dons will continue their road trip with a contest at Cal State Fullerton on Dec. 7. Using the next 13 days to finish out the semester academically, USF will not return to the court again until Dec. 20 at Colorado. Wrapping up, the Dons will play one final non-conference game at Tulsa on Dec. 22.
