SAN FRANCISCO, Calif. – In the wake of the tremendous crowd support at the USF volleyball home opener on Friday, Sep. 10, USF Athletics officially announced today that tickets to the home volleyball match on Friday, Sep. 17 will also be free, dubbed as the "Thank you Dons," game.
"The turnout for our first home game was one of the best crowds at a volleyball game in years," said Director of Athletics, Joan McDermott. "As a thank you to the campus and the community, we're saying: let's do it again! We invite the campus and the San Francisco community to cheer on our Dons in their final non-conference tune-up before their competitive WCC schedule."
Friday's game will also mark USF's first Win-Win Weekday of the season. If the Dons win the game, all fans in attendance will receive a free ticket to a future USF volleyball game of their choice. First serve is set for 5:00 pm at War Memorial at the Sobrato Center.
In compliance with University mandates, all patrons, regardless of vaccination status, will be required to wear a face covering unless actively eating or drinking while at a USF sporting event. Due to the pandemic, all concessions operations are currently out of operation, so fans are invited to bring their own food and non-alcoholic beverages.
