SAN FRANCISCO, Calif. – The West Coast Conference officially announced their weekly men's soccer awards for the week of Oct. 17 on Monday afternoon.
For USF, junior Max Hamelink was named the conference's Offensive Player of the Week while junior Easton Harryman was selected as the conference's Defensive Player of the Week.
Notably, Harryman's honor marks the third time this season in which a Don has been named WCC Defensive Player of the Week while USF also joins Loyola Marymount and Portland as the third school in the conference to sweep the weekly awards.
Making an impact on both sides of the ball this weekend, Easton Harryman recorded his first collegiate assist in USF's 5-1 win at Cal Berkeley on Saturday, Oct. 15 as the junior was also a key piece of the backline that helped lift the Dons over the Golden Bears for the first time since 2007.
In the 66th minute, Harryman found forward Max Chretien for his fourth goal of the season to extend USF's lead to 3-1 at the time. Notably, Harryman started and played all 90 minutes for USF in the win, the second straight week in which he has achieved this feat.
