Dons Wrap Up Play With Strong Final Round
10/25/2022 6:00:00 PM | Women's Golf
BOULDER CITY, Nev. – Competing in their final tournament this fall, the University of San Francisco women's golf team tied for tenth overall as a team at The Clash at Boulder Creek to begin the week.
TOURNAMENT RESULTS:
"What a great final round to cap off our fall. With a tough second round, it was difficult to climb up the scoreboard, but we shot one of our best rounds of the season of three-under-par 285. Toni Sottile played steady all three days. It was so great to see her walk with confidence and swing the club so well this week and be rewarded with a top 15 finish. As we reflect back on the fall, we had four tournaments in four different players lead us. This shows the depth that we have and I'm excited to see what we can do this spring!"
UP NEXT:
USF will take the new few months to regroup as the Dons will not compete again until the spring semester. The full 2023 spring schedule will be released in the coming weeks.

TOURNAMENT RESULTS:
- Returning to the lineup with a strong showing, Toni Sottile led the way for USF as the senior tied for thirteenth overall with an even-over-216 (73, 73, 70) across her three rounds. Notably, Sottile finished with eleven birdies for the Dons.
- Close behind, team captain Jade Siphomsay tied for twenty-ninth overall with a three-round total of 4-over-220 (74, 75, 71). Impressively, her ten birdies were second on the team, just one shy of Sottile's eleven.
- In the middle of the lineup, Riana Mission tied for forty-third overall after shooting 7-over-223 (73, 76, 74) with five birdies.
- Rounding out the group, Eva Pett tied for sixty-first overall with a 12-over-228 (75, 80, 73) while Jolie Chee tied for sixty-seventh with a 14-over-230 (78, 81, 71).
- As a team, USF shot the fifth-best on Par 5's (-14) while also racking up the seventh-most birdies overall (41).
