Giraldez got his week started on Thursday in the round of 64 as he knocked off Nevada's Sasha Nicolau in two sets in his opening match before getting the better of UC Davis' Lucas Bollinger in two sets later in the day to reach the round of 16.
Far from being done, Giraldez turned around on Friday to knock off Stanford's Neel Rajesh in two sets without losing a game in the match.
Nil will now move on to face off with Nevada's Matheo Coupu in the quarterfinals as he was able to successfully reach the round of eight.
