DONS AT A GLANCE:
- Hungry for similar success, Kir Gupta Baltazar will aim to defend her crown as the Canadian was crowned individual national champion in 2021. Impressively, Gupta Baltazar's achievement marked the first individual National Champion for the Dons since Charlotte Taylor won the women's 10k in 2017.
- Last year, the Dons also finished second overall as a team as Gillian Cridge placed third overall while teammate Molly Elliott was close behind in fourth place. Notably, it was the first time in which three Dons have finished in the top five of a national championship event.
- This fall, USF has tallied two top three finishes as a team, including placing second recently at the Bearathlon in Berkeley, Calif. On Sunday, Oct. 30, Juliette Janne d'Othee showed out for the green and gold by winning the women's Division I portion of the Bearathlon with a time of 00:58:31.5. Right behind the freshman, Maddie Perkins (01:00:57.4) placed sixth (01:00:57.4) and Veronika Divis (01:02:22.4) placed eighth for USF in Berkeley.
