SAN FRANCISCO, Calif. -- It wasn't the USF Dons women's tennis team's (11-9, 4-4) day on Friday as they couldn't get it done on their home courts as they fell 4-0 to the Loyola Marymount Lions at Golden Gate Park. Both teams agreed to play a clinch format that allowed for the Lions to win four straight singles matches and claim victory in the City.

USF honored their Senior Class ahead of Friday's match as senior Mya Bui was the lone Don to be recognized for her accomplishments during her time on the Hilltop.

CATCHING UP WITH COACH BARTLETT:
"We had a really close battle against another top opponent, LMU has had a good season and are currently a top 20 team. We played the clinch format so unfortunately it doesn't give a good sense of how close this match really was. We had four three set matches going and were very close in securing the doubles point. I feel we are playing better and it's a good sign as we near the end of the season and potentially the conference tournament." 

UP NEXT:
The Dons now head south for their final regular season conference match against the San Diego Toreros. Sunday's match is a make up of the previously scheduled match on April 9 that was postponed due to COVID-19 protocols with USD's program. Matches begin at 12:00 p.m. at the Skip and Cindy Hogan Tennis Center.
