Men's Tennis Prepares for WCC Championships

OJAI, Calif. -- Following an impressive 2022 spring season that saw the program ranked for the first time in seven years, the USF Dons men's tennis team (11-12, 3-6) is heading south for the 2022 WCC Championships in Southern California.

The Dons will be participating in the conference championships for the first time since the 2016-17 season as the core from the program has helped the program ascend over the last few seasons leading to the postseason berth this season.

Headlined by a core of Phuc Huynh, Nil Giraldez and Stevie Gould the Dons will look to make some noise in their return to the conference championships, and the journey will begin on Thursday afternoon as they will take on the three seeded Portland Pilots at 1:00 p.m. at the OVAC Courts.

USF will then return to the courts the following day at the same time and place when they will take on the one seeded Pepperdine Waves as they will continue their quest towards a conference championship. The team will then wrap up their time in Ojai on Saturday afternoon against a to be determined opponent based on how the team performs across their first two matches.
