OJAI, Calif. -- Battling against one of the top programs in the country, the USF Dons women's tennis team (12-11, 4-5) competed until the final point before eventually coming short against the one-seeded Pepperdine Waves in the semifinals of the 2022 WCC Championships at Weil Tennis Academy.
USF battled hard in both singles and doubles competed well against a top ranked program before eventually falling short with their season coming to an end in Southern California.
It was a tremendous season for the team and numerous individuals, as
Maria Martinez Vaquero was named to the All-WCC second team as well as the duo of Martinez Vaquero and
Rita Colyer received All-WCC honorable mention for their excelence throughout the season playing together.
