STANFORD, Calif. – After completing one of the most impressive regular seasons by a freshman in program history,
Riana Mission is aiming to continue her success in her first year on the Hilltop as the Las Vegas native is the top individual qualifier at the Stanford Regional in the 2022 NCAA Division I Women's Golf Tournament.

ON A MISSION:
- In her first year in the green and gold, Mission competed in all ten tournaments for the Dons in both the fall and spring seasons as she averaged a score of 218.8 per 54 holes. Overall, she tallied fifteen rounds at par or better as she recorded 69 birdies, two eagles and six top ten finishes for USF in 2021-22.
- Heading into NCAA's, Mission has placed in the top ten in her last six tournaments, which included four consecutive finishes in the top five to begin the streak this spring. Notably, her best round came in the second round of the Juli Inkster at Meadow Club Invitational on Monday, Mar. 7, when she shot a 67.
- Hungry to continue her success on the course, Mission was previously named West Coast Conference Women's Golfer of the Month for her efforts in March. At the conclusion of the regular season, she was also named to the WCC All-Women's Golf Team for the first time.
FORMAT:
The tournament features 54 holes played over three days with the top four teams and two individuals from non-qualifying teams advancing to the NCAA Women's Golf Championships, beginning May 20 at Grayhawk Golf Club in Scottsdale, Ariz. The other five regional sites are Albuquerque, N.M. (New Mexico), Ann Arbor, Mich. (Michigan), Stillwater, Okla. (Oklahoma State), Tallahassee, Fla. (Florida State), and Franklin, Tenn. (Vanderbilt).
Stanford will host the following teams, in order of seed: No. 1 Stanford, No. 2 USC, No. 3 LSU, No. 4 Texas Tech, No. 5 Kentucky, No. 6 Iowa State, No. 7 Northwestern, No. 8 Purdue, No. 9 UNLV, No. 10 Cal Poly, No. 11 Princeton and No. 12 Sacred Heart.
The qualifying individuals for the Stanford Regional are:
Riana Mission (San Francisco), Jennifer Koga (Sacramento State), Kirsten Baete (Nebraska), Victoria Gailey (Nevada), Leah John (Nevada) and Siripatsorn Patchana (Grand Canyon).
