CORAL SPRINGS, Fla. – The Women's Golf Coaches Association recently announced the top 25 teams with the highest team GPA for Division I, Division II and Division III as well as the top 10 teams for NAIA.
For USF, the Dons were named to the prestigious list for the second year in a row after finishing with a 3.790 combined team GPA between the fall and spring semesters. Notably, this GPA placed USF at No. 20 in Division I women's golf.
"I am so proud of the team for their accomplishments in the classroom over this past school year," said reigning WCC Co-Coach of the Year Sara Doell. "Student-athletes have a rigorous schedule balancing athletic and academic responsibilities and being successful on the course and in the classroom is not a given. These athletes worked for it and this hard work paid off this past year- both on the golf course and in the classroom. We had the best year end national team ranking of 70 and best team GPA of 3.79 since I have been here on the Hilltop. Each member of this team was a part of our success this year and I look forward to seeing how they develop in the upcoming school year!"
