IN CASE YOU MISSED IT:
- Following a shot from Ellie Weissenberg to begin the offense for the Dons, the Bulldogs found the back of the net first in the contest as Giana Riley found Paige Alexander to give Gonzaga a 1-0 lead in the 18th minute.
- Nine minutes later, Riley tallied her second assist of the match when she found Maddie Kemp as GU jumped out to a 2-0 advantage at the 26:10 mark.
- Throughout the rest of the opening half, Gabby Rizzo, Sydni Yoshida and Lindsey Chau would each attempt to get the green and gold on the board, but would ultimately miss wide of the cage as Gonzaga maintained their 2-0 lead at the halftime break.
- Out of the locker room, Chau continued to fire as she logged shots in the 52nd and 58th minutes, which was supported by shots from Alex Carpio and Weissenberg. Although this trio could not score to begin the second half, the Dons stayed on the heels of Gonzaga as Kenna Roth and Kaya Pigoni each recorded shot attempts of their own down the stretch.
- Adding late insurance, the Bulldogs stretch their lead to three when Marissa Garcia found Shelby Runje for a goal in the 89th minute. Shortly thereafter, GU held on to secure the 3-0 victory.
- For Chau, her three shots tie her second-most in a match this season while Weissenberg's two attempts ties her season-high.
- Playing in just her eighth collegiate game, Yoshida logged her first collegiate shot in the 33rd minute.
- In goal, Kira Ybarra recorded seven saves for San Francisco, which also ties her second-most in a match this year.
