DONS AT A GLANCE:
- Taking care of business at home this week, San Francisco scored a program record 82 points in the first half of Monday's 128-59 win over Bethesda (CA) before taking down Saint Francis (PA), 84-52, on Thursday night at War Memorial at the Sobrato Center. With the offense in rhythm to start the season, at least five Dons finished in double figures in both contests.
- Through two games, Missouri State transfer Jonathan Mogbo has made an immediate impact as he has shot 16/17 from the field to start his career as a Don, which ties him for eighth in the NCAA in field goal percentage (94.12).
- As a team, San Francisco is off to a scorching start offensively as the green and gold are currently third in Division I in effective field goal percentage (71.1 percent), fourth in shooting percentage (61.65 percent) and fifth in bench points per game (54.00).
- Focusing on the boards, USF also ranks in the top twenty in the country in rebound margin as the Dons are tied with fellow WCC and Bay Area foe Saint Mary's with a +20 average rebound margin to start the year.
- Testing their talent early, eight of San Francisco's next twelve opponents rank inside the top 100 of the current KenPom rankings, beginning with No. 61 Boise State this Sunday. For USF, the Dons are at No. 90 heading into their matchup against the Broncos.
- Opening their season on Tuesday, Boise State handled Vanguard, 89-55, at home to kick off their 2023-24 campaign. In the win, the Broncos tied a 53-year-old program record with 60 total rebounds, which included 20 on the offensive glass. Individually, Chibuzo Agbo led Boise State with 19 points while four other players also finished in double figures.
- The Broncos are seeking their third-straight NCAA Tournament appearance this season – a feat that has never been accomplished in program history. Notably, four of Boise State's nine appearances in the NCAA Tournament have come under current head coach Leon Rice, who is also the all-time wins leader and winningest coach in program history.
- Alongside Agbo, who started 33 games for the Broncos last season, Boise State returns All-Mountain West players Tyson Degenhart (First Team) and Max Rice (Second Team) this year.
- Since the start of 2019-20, the Broncos are 52-9 at home. Sweeping the Mountain West regular season and tournament titles in 2021-22, Boise State has also been in the top 30 in defensive efficiency according to KenPom the last two seasons.

Overall, Boise State holds a slight 4-3 lead in the all-time series, including a 2-1 mark at home in Boise. In their last matchup, San Francisco took down the Broncos, 76-69, on Dec. 13, 2008.
