GLENDALE, Ariz. - Back in the win column with a double-digit victory, the University of San Francisco men's basketball team (3-2) took down DePaul (1-4), 70-54, in the third-place game of inaugural Arizona Tip-Off tournament on Sunday afternoon.

IN CASE YOU MISSED IT:
- Getting off to a good start, the Dons got on the board first with two consecutive baskets, both which came courtesy of Jonathan Mogbo, to open the contest.
- Shortly thereafter, DePaul responded with a 7-0 run to jump in front, but a three-pointer from Josh Kunen kept San Francisco within one, 7-6, at the 16:47 mark.
- Matching each other to begin the ballgame, the Blue Demons maintained their advantage in the minutes to follow, but a jumper from Mike Sharavjamts at 13:42 knotted the score at 13 all.
- After DePaul regain control and stretched their lead to five, 18-13, near the midway point of the first half, the green and gold answered with an 8-2 run of their own to retake the lead, 21-20, following an emphatic dunk from Marcus Williams at 7:35.
- Continuing their momentum as the half wound down, USF then used a 10-4 stretch to widen the gap as a triple from Ryan Beasley at 2:29 put the Dons up seven, 31-24.
- Getting one more bucket in before the break, a dunk from Ndewedo Newbury made it a three-point game heading into the locker room as San Francisco maintained their advantage, 33-30, after the first twenty minutes of play.
- Coming out of the break with the same fire, the Dons began the second half on a 7-0 run to stretch their lead to ten, 40-30, following a fast break dunk from Mogbo.
- Keeping their foot on the gas, Williams knocked down another shot from behind-the-arc at 14:11 to increase USF's advantage to thirteen, 47-34.
- Opening the game up, San Francisco continued to find their rhythm offensively as the game moved along. Near the midway point of the second half, the Dons scored four straight baskets, which was highlighted by a dunk from Sharavjamts. With 9:38 left in regulation, the green and gold held an 18-point lead over DePaul, 57-39.
- Not going down without a fight, the Blue Demons clawed back within twelve, 59-47, following a made three of their own at the 7:11 mark.
- Leaving no doubt down the stretch, a pair of free throws from Sharavjamts put USF back on top by eighteen, 68-50, with 4:53 left on the game clock.
- Experiencing little resistance in the final few minutes of action, San Francisco went on to take down DePaul, 70-54, to pick up their third win of the season.
NOTABLE PERFORMANCES:
- Finishing in double figures in both games this tournament, Williams was tabbed Player of the Game after finishing with 14 points, 5 rebounds, 3 assists, 3 steals and one block on 6-of-13 from the floor.
- Continuing to be one of the nation's most efficient shot makers, Mogbo finished in double figures for the fifth straight game as the forward tallied 14 points, 6 rebounds and 1 steal on 7-of-8 from the field.
- As a team, San Francisco led DePaul in points in the paint (42-16), second chance points (9-8), fast break points (16-2) and bench points (19-7).Â
