SEATTLE, Wash. -- Wrapping up the 2023 indoor track and field regular season, the USF Dons indoor track and field team had a strong end of season tune up as they competed at the 2023 Ken Shannon Invite at Dempsey Indoor hosted by the University of Washington.
Leading the way for USF on Friday evening was another stellar run from
Ruby Smee as she finished first in the 5,000 meter run while breaking a previous meet record that had been held for 10 years prior to tonight. Smee also now currently ranks 14th in the country racing in the 5K.
She now looks to qualify for next month's Indoor Track and Field National Championships in Albuquerque after another stellar indoor season.
