Women's Basketball Award Fourth Seed for WCC Basketball Tournament

SAN MATEO, Calif. – The West Coast Conference officially released the seeding and tournament bracket for the upcoming 2023 University Credit Union West Coast Conference Women's Basketball Touranment in Las Vegas on Monday afternoon.
After posting a 9-9 conference mark during the regular conference season, the San Francisco Dons have been awarded the fourth seed in this week's upcoming tournament and will begin their title quest on Saturday at 1:00 p.m. PT from Orleans Arena. USF will be taking on the winner of Friday's game which will feature No. 5 seed BYU as well as the winner of the matchup between No. 8 seed Santa Clara and No. 9 seed Pepperdine.
The 2023 UCU West Coast Conference Men's and Women's Basketball Tournament will be held from March 2-7 at Orleans Arena in Las Vegas. The first two rounds of the men's tournament and the first four rounds of the women's tournament will be televised on the WCC's regional sports network partners, NBC Sports Bay Area, NBC Sports California, ROOT Sports NW, Bally Sports West, Bally Sports SoCal, Bally Sports San Diego, as well as BYUtv. These games will also be available online on the WCC Network. ESPN will televise the quarterfinals and semifinals of the men's tournament, and the championship games of both the men's and women's tournament.

Last year, USF earned the No. 3 seed and a double bye in the tournament as they knocked off No. 7 seed and Bay Area rival Santa Clara before ultimately coming up short against the No. 2 seed Gonzaga in the semifinal round.
