CATCHING UP WITH COACH RILEY:
"We took advantage of a good opportunity at Stanford today. On the men's side it was all about racing today in the 1,500 meter with
Ben Preddy and
Caleb Haugland going one-two in their heat and
Hiruy Alemseged close on their tails, with all posting personal bests in the event.
Marshall Bush won his first collegiate heat with a new personal best and
Carter Lewis was a very close second in his heat, also setting a personal best.
On the women's side in the 1,500M,
Abby Pradere executed her race plan to a T and won the event overall.
Baneet Bains was a very close second and was just off her personal best.
Grace Copeland did set a personal best in the heat while
Julia Morales raced extremely poised and set a big six second personal best in her second ever 1,500 event. On the sprints side,
Sophia Priester-Veasley had another good weekend setting a personal best in the 200 meter.
Tatumn LaChapelle had better races in the 100 and 200 as well as
Olivia Alexandre in the open 400/4x4. The highlight however goes to
Marine Jacob in her Dons shot put debut, setting a 40 plus centimeter personal best on her first throw."
