MILLBRAE, Calif. - Playing as the lone individual for the Dons, Eva Pett put together a strong performance for the green and gold to begin the week as the freshman tied for 29^th overall at the Silicon Valley Showcase at Green Hills Country Club.
 
TOURNAMENT RESULTS:

• Competing among some of the best collegiate golfers in the country, Pett began day one by shooting a 77 (+6) across her first 18 holes.
• After round two, Pett hovered around the same place as she was tied for 33^rd (14-over-146) after tallying a 79 on her second round.
• Closing out the tournament on Tuesday, Pett finished with another 79 (+8) as she climbed into a tie for 29^th with a three-round total of 22-over-235.
• Overall, the Denver native tallied 27 pars and six birdies throughout the tournament.   

CATCHING UP WITH COACH DOELL:
"What a unique opportunity for Eva to play in the inaugural Silicon Valley Showcase at Green Hills Country Club. As a coach, to be able to walk 54 holes with a player can teach you so much about their game and their mindset. I am continually impressed with the level of maturity that Eva has on the golf course. She is organized with her routine, her approach to the game and I only see her getting better from here! Green Hills played extremely difficult these past two days and Eva kept up with some of the best players in the nation. She should be very proud! We will now shift our attention to the WCC championships next week."

USF will use the next few weeks to regroup as the Dons will compete next in the West Coast Conference Championships at Gold Mountain Golf Club in Bremerton, Wash. from Thursday, Apr. 20 through Saturday, Apr. 22. Live results of the tournament will be available via the team's schedule page.
