STANFORD, Calif. -- The University of San Francisco Dons outdoor track and field team had a strong showing at the 2023 Payton Jordan Invitational. Competition kicked off on Friday night, where
Baneet Bains debuted in the 5,000 meters, which will provided great strength training for the remainder of her season.
On Saturday afternoon,
Zoe Wassell and
Lorie Cashdollar lined up in the 1,500 meters where they both executed strong races. All the excitement was in the 800 meters, where
Olivia Alexandre backing up from the 200 meters from the night before, smashed her personal best clocking in at 2:09.89 to break 2:10 for the first time. Teammate

CATCHING UP WITH COACH RILEY:
"With just a small group of racers this weekend at Stanford,
Olivia Alexandre was our golden Don. Olivia ran a solid 200 meters on Friday, and came back today racing her way to a seven second personal best in the women's 800 meters.
