SAN FRANCISCO, Calif. – The West Coast Conference announced on Tuesday afternoon the recipients of the 2023 Women's Tennis All-Academic awards following a strong spring season in the classroom and on the courts.
USF had eight student-athletes selected as All-Academic Honorable Mentions following a strong spring that saw the team compete at the 2023 WCC Championships in San Diego. The eight Dons selected were:
Arianna Capogrosso,
Simran Chhabra,
Rita Colyer,
Caragh Courtney,
Hana Gamracy,
Azaria Hayes,
Maria Martinez Vaquero and
Alicia Yue.
Martinez Vaquero was a First Team recipient last season marking the second consecutive year she's been honored, while both Colyer and Courtney each were picked as Honorable Mentions in back-to-back seasons.
Recipients are decided upon meeting the following qualifications:
- A minimum 3.20 cumulative grade point average (GPA) based on the most recently completed term at the time of the nomination.
- Have at least sophomore athletic and academic standing with at least one year in residence completed at the nominating institution (true freshmen, redshirt freshmen and ineligible athletic transfers could not be nominated)
- Participate in at least 50 percent of the institution's completed contests
