Women's Golf Releases 2023-24 Schedule

SAN FRANCISCO, Calif. – The University of San Francisco women's golf team and Head Coach Sara Doell have officially announced the schedule for the upcoming 2023-24 season.

"Our 2023-2023 schedule looks to be one of the best schedules we have had the chance to put together in the past several years," Doell said. "Having the opportunity to compete against some of the best teams in the nation on some of the best golf courses is a privilege. I am excited to see what this team can do with a strong schedule this year."

Highlighted by four tournaments during the fall, the Dons open the season on September 18 and 19 at the Leadership and Golf Invitational, hosted by Seattle U and Washington at Chamber's Bay Golf Course. Competing in the tournament for the second time in three seasons, the Dons earned an eight-place finish out of 18 competitors during the 2021-22 season.

The program heads to Idaho the following week when it competes in the Coeur D' Alene Invite, hosted by conference foe Gonzaga starting on September 24. The three-day event will be played at the Coeur D' Alene Resort, with the Dons participating in the tournament for the third consecutive season.

After a two-week break, the Dons head to New Mexico State to begin the month of October at the Golf Iconic Classic, from October 9-11 at the New Mexico State Golf Course & Club.

The program closes the fall season at The Clash at Boulder Creek, hosted by Northern Arizona at Boulder Creek Golf Course from October 22-24. During the tournament last season, Toni Sottile led the Dons, shooting an even-par 226 (73-73-70) and finishing in a tie for 13th place.

San Francisco begins the spring portion of the schedule on February 12-13 when it travels to Southern California for the San Diego State Classic. The Dons will compete at The Farms Golf Course for the first time since the 2016-17 season.

The team returns home when it hosts the Juli Inkster at Meadow Club Invitational on March 4-5 at The Meadow Club. The Dons posted a fourth-place finish in the event last season, with Riana Mission shooting an eight-under-par 208 (71-67-70) and grabbing third-place.

Two tournaments close the month of March, with the Dons taking part in The Silicon Valley Showcase, hosted by Santa Clara on March 11-12. The team will follow with a three-day event in Hawaii, competing in the Dr. Donnis Thompson Invitational on March 17-19.

The Dons close out the regular season at the Silverado Showdown in Napa, Calif., on April 8-10, with Oregon and Colorado serving as the host teams.

Postseason play kicks off at the WCC Championships starting on April 18 when the Dons head to Bremerton, Wash., for the second-straight season. The conference tournament will be held at Gold Mountain Golf Club.
