SAN FRANCISCO, Calif. – Head coach Gina Kehr and the University of San Francisco triathlon program officially announced on Tuesday afternoon.
 
"We are excited to be bringing some new recruits to our veteran team entering our fourth year of competition as a program. Triathlon continues to grow as an emerging sport as we are looking forward to our first race in September in Fort Worth, TX. We will have some good head-to-head competition with Arizona State and University of Denver alongside newcomers TCU and University of Arizona. We look forward to heading back to ASU in November for the national championship and a podium finish."
 
San Francisco is entering their fourth full season as a program as the Dons will kick off their season with a handful of members competing at the USF Invitational in Golden Gate Park. Hosted by the USF cross country program, this year's race will mark the 30^th annual event in the program's history.
 
Just a few weeks later, San Francisco will head to thew Lone Star state to compete in the Battle in Fort Worth Collegiate Cup in Fort Worth, Texas on Sept. 17. Closing out the month of September with one more race, the Dons will also compete in the Black Hills Relay in Black Hills, SD on Sept. 30.
 
Moving into October, USF will stay in the Black Hills area to compete in the Black Hills State Collegiate Cup in Spearfish, SD on Oct. 1. Halfway through the month, the green and gold will suit up at the West Regional in Springfield, Mo. on Oct. 14. Last year, Kira Gupta Baltazar impressed by finishing third overall in this event (1:01:48). Wrapping up October, San Francisco will return to the Bay Area to compete in the Bearthalon in Berkeley on Oct. 23. Notably, Juliette Janne d'Othee was crowned individual champion of this event last fall while the Dons finished in second as a team.
 
With all eyes on the final race, San Francisco will head back to Tempe, Ariz. for the 202 USA Triathlon National Championship on Nov. 11.
