Women's Tennis Announces 2023-24 Schedule

SAN FRANCISCO, Calif. – The University of San Francisco women's tennis program and Head Coach Peter Bartlett have officially announced the schedule for the upcoming 2023-24 season.

"We're excited to release our fall schedule," said Bartlett. "It includes some good national pieces and strong local competitions against some of the better programs in the Bay Area. Since we play in one of the country's stronger regions, it will prepare us for the spring season."

With a competitive season on the horizon, the Dons return multiple players from a season ago, including West Coast Conference All-Conference selections Maria Martinez Vaquero and Simran Chhabra.

The fall slate starts next Thursday, Sept. 21, when the Dons host the Battle in the Bay at the California Tennis Club. The four-day event will see some of the country's best tennis programs traveling to San Francisco for the weekend.

The Dons begin the month of October on the road, traveling to North Carolina for the ITA All-American Championships starting on Saturday, Sept. 21 and running through Saturday, Oct. 8. The team will remain in the Bay Area for the rest of the month beginning on Friday, Sept. 27 at the Saint Mary's Invitational.

San Francisco concludes the fall season at the Stanford Hidden Duel starting on Friday, Nov. 3, serving as the final tune-up before spring play.

After a two-month hiatus, the spring season starts on Friday, Jan. 12, when the Dons compete in the Cal Tourney. The program hosts the first home match of the spring season two weeks later, facing off against UC Santa Barbara on Friday, Jan. 26.

February will see four non-conference matches, three of which will be at the Olympic Club.

Conference play begins in March when the Dons travel to take on Pacific on Saturday, March 23 and follow with a road match at San Diego on Sunday, March 24. The team closes the month with two home matches against Pepperdine and Portland on Friday, March 29 and Saturday, March 30, respectively.

April will see the Dons traveling to Santa Clara on Saturday, April 6 and Saint Mary's on Saturday, April 13 and then finish the regular season at home, hosting LMU on Sunday, April 14 and Gonzaga on Friday, April 19.
