Triathlon Releases 2024 Schedule

SAN FRANCISCO, Calif. - Hungry to build off a third-place finish at last year's national championships, head coach Gina Kehr and the University of San Francisco women's triathlon program officially announced their schedule for the 2024 season on Tuesday morning.

"It is hard to believe this fall marks the start of our sixth season for triathlon here at San Francisco, said coach Kehr. "We have many new athletes this season after having graduated most of our first incoming class this past academic year. Of our 5 returning team members, three were on our team that finished third at nationals last year. The addition of six new teammates is special and exciting and I am looking forward to the assimilation into our new USF family. We have a great race schedule this season that includes opening up locally at the Mt. Shasta Tinman on September 1st. The rest of our schedule is set up well giving all our athletes several opportunities to showcase their fitness and skills throughout the season. Our season is exciting and I look forward to seeing a lot of great racing from our ladies as we continue to work towards a podium finish at our national championship."

San Francisco is entering its sixth full season as a program as the Dons will kick off their 2024 campaign with the Mt. Shasta Tinman triathlon in Lake Siskiyou, Calif. on Sunday, Sept. 1.

Closing out September, USF will return to Fort Worth, Texas to compete in the Battle in the Fort (hosted by TCU) on Sunday, Sept. 29. Last season, the green and gold placed third overall as a team in this event, which included Kira Gupta Baltazar (second) and Molly Elliott (tenth) finishing in the top ten individually.

Heading east, San Francisco will suit up for the East Regional Championships on Saturday, Oct. 12 in Troutman, NC. Shortly thereafter, USF will trek back to the Bay Area to race locally in the Bearthalon (hosted by California, which will take place in Berkeley on Sunday, Oct. 27.

Wrapping up their season, the Dons will aim to finish atop the podium as a team at the Women's Collegiate National Championships in Clermont, Fla. on Nov. 9.
