Men's Soccer: 2024 Signing Class

SAN FRANCISCO, Calif. - With under two weeks remaining before kickoff of the 2024 campaign, head coach Chris Brown is proud to welcome a new incoming class of student-athletes within the men's soccer program.
 
"We are extremely excited about what this class brings to our program," said Brown. "We brought in three transfers and seven Freshmen. The class is filled with competitors, athleticism, high soccer IQ guys and strong technical ability. Isaiah Easley comes to us after winning a national championship at Clemson and is a great teammate and a natural goal scorer. Adrian Medina and Joe Core come in as graduate students with a ton of college experience and quality. In the freshman class, David Raphael amassed over 50 goals in MLS Next the last two years and is a very creative player. Jaggar Judkins, Brayden Beason and Junhwan Park all come from great clubs where they were extremely impactful and are dynamic attackers. Ryan Firestone, Jaedyn Walters, Caleb Gordon and Adrian Solis are all very competitive and versatile defenders who will compete to earn playing time."
 
After finishing 8-4-5 in 2023, the green and gold are hungry to continue their upward trajectory after six Dons earned All-WCC honors last fall. New this offseason, an exciting class filled with speed, strength and many more skills is set to join a rising roster. 
 
#16 Brayden Beason / Forward (Keller, Texas/TimberCreek HS/Solar SC)
Competing at TimberCreek Highschool under Daniel Rincon, Beason was a three-time District MVP and three-time team MVP during his time with the Falcons. After earning Offensive MVP his freshman year, he continued to improve at TimberCreek, which was captivated by All-State First Team honors his senior year. Notably, he dazzled by netting an impressive 41 goals as a senior while also tallying eleven assists. As a unit, the forward guided the Falcons to a 21-4-2 overall record his final season. In addition to notching the most goals in the state of Texas as a senior, he also went on to break every school record for men's soccer. Overall, Beason tallied 89 goals and 40 assists across his four years. During his time at TimberCreek, the team also recorded their first career playoff win in school history in addition to reaching the state semifinals, marking the longest layoff run in school history of any sport. Outside of high school, beason cometed for Solar SC under coach Grant Sawyer.
 
#25 Joe Core / Defender (Arlington, Va./William & Mary)
Crossing the country to come to the Hilltop, Core joins the Dons after a successful four-year career at William & Mary. Joining the Tribe during the COVID-shortened season in 2020-21, the defender was named to the CAA All-Rookie Team and All-CAA Third Team after starting all six matches as a freshman at the center back position. At the conclusion of the season, he was named No. 79 on Top Drawer Soccer's National Top 100 Freshmen list. Across his next three years, Core would appear in 41 total matches, which included 36 total starts. As a senior in 2023, he started in all 14 matches he appeared in as he played a career-high 1,201 minutes. In the classroom, Core was a two-time CAA Commissioner's Academic Honor Roll selection (2020-21 + 2021-22) in addition to earning the William & Mary Provost Award for Academic Excellence in 2020-21.
 
#9 Isaiah Easley / Forward (Kailua Kona Hawai'i/Clemson)
Fresh off winning a national championship at Clemson, Easley joins the mix as a dynamic forward who is set to make an immediate impact. Beginning his collegiate career with a bang, Easley scored his first career goals in back-to-back games against UMass and NC State as he appeared in thirteen total matches his freshman year (2022). This past season, he appeared in 17 matches an made his first career start against Virginia Tech on Sept. 29. Overall, he scored three goals and tallied seven points on the season, which included a goal in the ACC Tournament against Louisville on Nov. 8. Subsequently, Clemson went on to win the 2023 ACC Men's Soccer Tournament.
 
#3 Ryan Firestone / Defender (Los Angeles, Calif./Torent FC)
Firestone comes to the Hilltop after spending time at the Barca Residency Academy in Casa Grande, Ariz. and the ASU Prep Academy in Phoenix, Ariz. He also competed with Eture in Spain and trained with Torent in the Spanish 3rdDivision. Additionally, Firestone had a stop with Rochester in the MLS Next Pro Division.
 
#31 Caleb Gordon / Defender (Murrieta, Calif./Murrieta Valley HS)
Gordon joins the green and gold after a successful career at Murrieta Valley High School. As a four-year athlete, the defender helped guide the Nighthawks to a Southwestern League Championship in 2021, marking the first time in 28 years the school had achieved this feat. Additionally, he was also named a scholar athlete from 2019-2022 for soccer. On top of his efforts on the pitch, Gordon also played tennis and competed for the track & field team at Murrieta Valley. As a student, Gordon was a member of the Black Student Union and Women's History Club. Outside of high school, he competed for Albion San Diego in MLS Next.
 
#17 Jaggar Judkins / Forward (Tacoma, Wash./Bellarmine Preparatory School)
Following an electric career at Bellarmine Prep in his hometown of Tacoma, Wash., Judkins is hungry to make an immediate impact for the Dons. As a four-year student-athlete on the varsity men's soccer team, Judkins began making waves his sophomore year as he was the top goal scorer on the team that season, which helped him earn Second Team all-league honors. Additionally, he helped his team secure a state championship his sophomore season by scoring a goal in the state final. During both his junior and senior year, Judkins would earn a trio of accolades - Offensive Player of the Year, Tacoma Player of the Year and First Team all-league honors. Each year, he was also the top goal scorer for the Lions. In total, Judkins tallied 62 goals and 32 assists across his four years at Bellarmine. Off the field, he was part of the Filipino club, chess club, environmental club and helped the school's greenhouse.
 
#15 Adrian Medina / Midfielder (San Francisco, Calif./SF State/CSU Bakersfield)
Making his way to campus as a local product, Medina comes to USF after stops at SF State and CSU Bakersfield. After missing his freshman year (2018) due to an injury, Medina appeared in 14 contests and made five starts for SF State in 2019. Overall, he logged 571 total minutes, which included notching two goals and one assist. Notably, his first collegiate goal was the game-winning goal in SF State's 1-0 win at Holy Names on Sept. 12, 2019. Despite the season being cancelled in 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Medina returned in 2021 and earned All-CCAA Honorable Mention honors after starting all 18 matchs and logging 1,436 minutes, good for fourth on the team. Additionally, he finished second on the team with four goals while also tying for second with nine points. Most recently, Medina transferred to CSU Bakersfield for the 2022 season, but did not compete due to a season-ending injury.
 
#22 Junhwan Park / Midfielder (Guri-Si, South Korea/Global Vision Christian School)
Expected to play an immediate role for the Dons, Park joins the green and gold after spending time at Global Vision Christian School. In spring 2021, Park scored the most goals in the National Gyeongbuk High School League as he helped guide his team a silver medal in the league tournament. Overall, he scored 10 goals in 12 games in 2021 before netting 12 goals in 14 games in 2022. Most recently, he has competed for Nowon United in South Korea.
 
#98 David Raphael / Forward (Port-au-Prince, Haiti/Natomas HS)
Known for his speed, Raphael brings energy and enthusiasm to the roster this fall. After spending time at Natomas High School in Sacramento, Raphael has also suited up for Sacramento United. Last year, he finished third in the country with 29 goals scored in the U19 MLS Next Division. For these efforts, he then competed in the MLS Next All-Star Game.
 
#29 Adrian Solis / Defender (Williams, Calif./Williams HS)
Staying within Northern California, Solis joins the Dons as another defender ready to deliver. With a diverse athletic background, Solis competed in four sports during his time at Williams High School - cross country (2 years), football (3 years), track & field (3 years) and soccer (3 years). With the cross country team, he was named the Most Valuable Male Runner in addition to being named a league champion. On the gridiron, Solis was named Most Valuable Player twice, was selected as team captain and earned All-League honors. With the track & field team, he was named Most Oustanding Male Runner and a North Section Qualifier in addition to earning all-league honors. Impressively, he set a new record for the fastest time in the 400m. On the soccer field, Solis was named team captain, Most Valuable Player and Offensive Player of the Year in addition to earning all-league honors. Notably, he also helped guide his soccer team to a section championship twice. Academically, Solis was awarded the 4.0 student-athlete plaque on each team he was on. Outside of his high school, he competed locally for Davis Legacy.
 
#28 Jaedyn Walters / Defender (Austin, Texas/McNeil High School)
Similar to a few of his classmates, Walters comes to San Francisco after being a multi-sport athlete in high school. Competing at McNeil High School in Austin, Walters was a member of the cross country team for two years and a member of the men's soccer team for three years. On the pitch, Walters began his career by being named the league's Newcomer of the Year in addition to earning First Team All-District honors. Following an impressive junior year that saw him score two goals and earn the Silver Boot for the most assists, Walters was voted the league's Most Valuable Player and Defensive MVP while earning First Team All-District honors for the second straight year. Prior to his senior year, Walters would be voted team captain as he went on to earn his second consecutive league Most Valuable Player award and third-straight First Team All-District honor. During his senior year, he netted eight goals overall for the Mavericks. Outside of McNeil, Walters competed for Lonestar FC in the ENCL and Austin FC in the MLS Next Division.
