SACRAMENTO, Calif. - Dominating their opponent in the shot column, the University of San Francisco men's soccer team (0-4-2) gave it all they had offensively on Thursday evening, but the Dons ultimately fell on the road, 1-0, at Sacramento State (1-4).

IN CASE YOU MISSED IT:
- Outshooting the Hornets 12-3 overall in the first half, Gabriel Bracken Serra fired the first attempt of the match for the green and gold at 3:46 followed by USF's first shot on goal just ten seconds later at 3:56. Unfortunately, Sacramento State goalkeeper Mac Learned denied the early attacks.
- Responding on their home field, the Hornets netted what would end up being the lone goal of the match at 14:55 when Fernando Venegas found Donovan Sessoms to put Sacramento State up 1-0.
- Following the goal, Junhwan Park Olivier Sylvain, Alex Solomis, David Raphael and Isaiah Easley each recorded shots for San Francisco, but the Hornets to maintain their 1-0 advantage after the opening 45 minutes of action.
- Out of the break, Easley and Bracken Serra continued to press the Hornet defense with more shots, but neither could break through to find the equalizer.
- Similar to the first half, the Dons outshot Sacramento State 11-3 in the second half of play, but the green and gold had trouble squeezing the ball past the opposing keeper.
- Down the stretch, Kian Jones and Adrian Medina also attempted to even the score, but the Hornets dug deep when it mattered most to hang on and secure a 1-0 shutout victory over San Francisco.
NOTABLE PERFORMANCES:
- Leading the charge offensively, Isaiah Easley tallied a career-high six shots, which was also a match high, against the Hornets on Thursday night.Â
- Alongside Easley, Bracken Serra tallied a season-high four shots against on Thursday night. Additionally, Solomis, Sylvain, Park, Jones and Medina each recorded two shots individually as well.
- As a team, San Francisco outshot Sacramento State 23-6, including a 9-2 advantage in shots on goal.
