SACRAMENTO, Calif. – The University of San Francisco men's and women's cross country programs concluded the 2025 season at the NCAA West Regional Championship Saturday morning at Arcade Creek Cross Country Course.
IN CASE YOU MISSED:
- In the women's 6k, San Francisco placed 11th out of 39 competing programs. The Dons' near top-10 finish marks the best result by the program at the NCAA West Regional Championship since 2022.
- Anna Büttner paced the Dons throughout the event, earning an 11th-place individual finish out of 263 competitors with a personal-best time of 20:04.2. She was also named to the All-West Region Team following her performance.
- Faustine Chaboche and Jessica Spilsbury followed, placing 33rd and 67th, respectively. Chaboche improved on her time from the West Coast Conference Championship on Saturday, Nov. 1, trimming nearly 20 seconds off to finish at 20:30.4.
- Reese Tucker (96th – 21:42.3) and Poppy Martin (110th – 21:52.4) concluded the scoring for the green and gold.
- On the men's side, San Francisco earned 14th overall out of 30 teams. Ethan O'Shea led the way with his first-career sub-31-minute 10k, finishing in 43rd place out of 203 with a time of 30:21.1.
- Luca Minale and Daniel Abramowicz finished side-by-side in 63rd and 64th, with times of 30:43.1 and 30:43.8, respectively.
- Rounding out the scoring for the Dons were Herbie Johnson (107th – 31:34.5) and Cole Fiegener (157th – 32:29.9).
