SAN BRUNO, Calif. – Following its third straight victory last weekend,
Maeve Bailey has been named West Coast Conference Offensive Player of the Week, announced by the league Monday afternoon.
Maeve Bailey led San Francisco offensively in its lone match of the week, totaling 11 kills on an efficient .714 hitting percentage in a 3-1 win over Pacific on Saturday, Nov. 22.
Helping guide the Dons to their third consecutive win, Bailey totaled 12.5 points in the win over the Tigers, one of four players to record double-digit points throughout the match. Reaching double-digit kills for the second straight contest, Bailey, from the middle blocker position, increased her season total to 143.
For San Francisco, this weekly award marks the second for the team this season.
Madison McPherson was named WCC Freshman of the Week on November 17.
