- San Francisco takes on Colorado State following a 1-1 weekend at the Briann January Classic on Friday, Dec. 5, and Saturday, Dec. 6.
- In two games against Nevada and Arizona State, Candy Edokpaigbe led the green and gold offensively, averaging 16.5 points per game. Her all-around play in two contests included 5.0 rebounds, 4.0 assists, 2.5 steals, and 1.0 blocks per game. Following her 16-point performance in the win over the Wolf Pack, she recorded 17 points to lead the Dons while shooting a perfect seven-for-seven at the free-throw line.
- Noelia Mouriño recorded a near double-double with eight points and 10 rebounds in the win over Nevada. Her 10 rebound performance marks the second time she has recorded double-digit boards in a game this season. Meghan McIntyre recorded double-digit points with 11 in 27 minutes off the bench.
- As a team, San Francisco maintains a top-five ranking in the West Coast Conference in scoring (second - 71.0), field goal percentage (second - .443), and assists per game (third - 16.4).
- Colorado State enters the weekend following a dominating 70-47 home victory over Southern Utah on Sunday, Dec. 7, at Moby Arena.
- Lexus Bargesser transferred to Colorado State from Indiana before the 2025-26 season and has become one of the top mid-major women's players in the country. Bargesser leads the Rams in scoring through the first 10 games, ranking as one of only 16 NCAA Division I women's players currently averaging at least 16.5 points, 5.0 rebounds, 2.5 assists, and 1.5 steals per game.
- Colorado State has demonstrated strong defense this season, allowing just 53.6 points per game during the first 10 games. The Rams have held eight of those opponents to 60 or fewer points, including four games where opponents were
- limited to under 50 points. Their defensive efficiency is further highlighted by holding opponents to 34.6 percent shooting from the field and averaging only 13.1 team fouls per contest.
- Head Coach Ryun Williams has established himself as a consistent winner during his time at Colorado State, recording 20 or more wins in each of the past four seasons. Over his 13-year tenure with the women's basketball program, the Rams have achieved at least 20 wins nine times.
- San Francisco and Colorado State have faced off nine times, beginning with the first-ever meeting during the 1989-90 season.
- In the early years of their rivalry, San Francisco and Colorado State split the first three meetings. Notably, the series was marked by a 101-96 three-overtime decision in 2007, when the Dons emerged victorious at Moby Arena.
- More recently, under Head Coach Molly Goodenbour, San Francisco is 1-2 against Colorado State, who have won the last two matchups. In the most recent meeting, the Rams edged out the Dons in a narrow, low-scoring 52-47 victory on November 4, 2024.
