SAN FRANCISCO, Calif. – The University of San Francisco women's golf team finished in eighth place at the USF Invitational Tuesday afternoon at The Olympic Club.
TOURNAMENT RESULTS:
- Three players led the program, as Eva Pett, Yvonne Shang, and Jolie Chee tied for 30th with a 16-over-par 229. Shang improved in the tournament's third round, shooting a one-over-par 72. Playing well on the back nine, she totaled three birdies, including back-to-back on holes 14 and 15.
- Pett compiled six birdies throughout the two-day event, all coming in the first two rounds on Saturday.
- Chee was steady throughout the tournament, leading the team and ranking tied for sixth among the 53 competitors with 37 pars.
- As a team, San Francisco tied team champion BYU on Par 5s at four-over par. Pett shined on Par 5s, shooting one-under par while averaging 4.89 strokes per hole.
UP NEXT:
San Francisco concludes the regular season in Napa, Calif., when it competes in the Silverado Showdown, hosted by Oregon beginning Monday, Apr. 7, at Silverado Country Club.
