BERKELEY, Calif. - Facing off against a familiar foe, the University of San Francisco women's soccer team (0-2) battled until the brink on Thursday evening, but ultimately fell to California (2-0-1), 3-2, at Edwards Stadium.

- The Golden Bears evened the game on a goal from Malia Mcmahon at 33:57, assisted by Coco Thistle.
- California then took a 2-1 advantage on Mia Van More's goal at 42:43, assisted by Noelle Bond-Flasza. Using this momentum, the Golden Bears carried a 2-1 lead into the halftime break.
