SAN FRANCISCO, Calif. - The University of San Francisco (USF) women's soccer team (1-4-1) came up short on Thursday night as Dartmouth (3-0-1) remained undefeated by taking down the Dons, 3-0.
IN CASE YOU MISSED IT:
- Dartmouth started the scoring early, netting two of their goals back-to-back in the 13th and 14th minutes. Despite shots from Sydni Yoshida and Hannah Burns, the Big Green maintained their two-goal lead at the half.
- San Francisco continued to fight in the second half, but could not punch through offensively. Dartmouth added a third goal at 83:00 to extend the margin.
- Holding off the green and gold for the final seven minutes, Dartmouth went on to secure a 3-0 victory over San Francisco on Thursday night.
NOTABLE PERFORMANCES:
- Tyra Bengtsson-Stenseth recorded six saves for the Dons out of 10 total Big Green shots.
- San Francisco put two shots on goal, one from Hannah Burns and one from Kate Zimmerman. Burns totaled three shots on the night overall for USF, marking a new career-high.
