SAN FRANCISCO, Calif. – The University of San Francisco beach volleyball team and Head Coach
Emily Cook have officially announced the schedule for the upcoming 2026 season.
"This upcoming beach season is an exciting one for our program," Cook said. "While we're graduating a large senior class that helped build the foundation and culture of our program, we're confident in the direction we're headed. Our coaching staff is exceptional, and the energy, work ethic, and competitiveness of this group have us excited for this season."
Following the 2025 season that saw growth in the program, San Francisco returns eight of its 12 players from last season's roster and welcomes five newcomers. The program added three true freshmen in
Scarlett McClung,
Makenzie Holden, and
Mahlia Priestley, while
Jia Lonardi and
Nadia Murray Ceriello arrive on the Hilltop as transfers.
The 2026 campaign features multiple high-end opponents, highlighted by matchups against Stanford, Arizona, and Pepperdine.
San Francisco plays six dual matches over two weekends in the South Bay, with opponents including Santa Clara, San Jose State, Pacific, and Stanford, highlighted by a doubleheader during the Battle By The Bay on Friday, Feb. 27.
Following contests at Pacific and Sacramento State, San Francisco travels to compete in the Arizona Invitational on Friday, Mar. 20, and Saturday, Mar. 21. The Dons will face off against UTEP, Missouri State, Tarleton State, and host Arizona throughout the weekend.
Returning to the West Coast, San Francisco is set to compete in the West Coast Challenge in Santa Cruz on Friday, Mar. 27, and Saturday, Mar. 28, before hosting its lone home tournament against Concordia (Calif.) and Pacific at the College of Marin on Saturday, April 4.
The Dons compete in one final tournament to conclude the regular season, traveling to Malibu for the Waves Tourney, hosted by Pepperdine on Friday, Apr. 10, and Saturday, Apr. 11. Along with two dual matches against Pepperdine, San Francisco will face off against Concordia (Calif.) and Vanguard (Calif.).
Postseason play begins on Thursday, Apr. 24, at the West Coast Conference Championships in Santa Monica.
