SACRAMENTO, Calif. –
Eva Pett won her first individual tournament title of the season as the University of San Francisco women's golf team placed fifth at The Causeway Invitational on Tuesday afternoon at Del Paso Country Club.
TOURNAMENT RESULTS:
- Pett paced San Francisco throughout the two-day event, recording a season-low seven-under par 209 (73-67-69) to earn her first title of the season and second of her career. Following a 73 in the first round of the tournament, Pett posted back-to-back sub-70 rounds, including a five-under-par 67 in round two. Pett was also one of five participants to record double-digit birdies as she totaled 10 throughout the three rounds.
- Melia Gustavson earned her first-ever top-15 finish, and she placed tied for 13th with a four-over par 220 (69-76-75). Beginning the tournament with a three-under-par 69, Gustavson registered five birdies in the opening round, with four coming on the first nine holes.
- Recording her best finish this season, Jolie Chee earned a tie for 22nd with a seven-over par 223 (74-75-74).
- As a team, San Francisco ranked third among the 10 participating teams in Par 3s and Par 5s, highlighted by a 4.95 scoring average on Par 5s.

San Francisco continues the spring portion of the 2025-26 season when it participates in the Fresno State Classic, hosted by Fresno State, on Monday, Mar 2 – Tuesday, Mar. 3, at Fort Washington Country Club.
