SAN FRANCISCO, Calif. – The University of San Francisco volleyball program and Head Coach Diogo Silva have announced the schedule for the upcoming 2026 season.
"I am really proud of what we built together this season," Silva said. "We have a talented group, but more importantly, we have people who are willing to embrace challenges, support each other, and fight through adversity as one team. I'm excited to start working with the group, get everyone on the same page, and do everything we can to achieve our goals, both on and off the court."
Retooling the roster for the upcoming campaign, which features the return of All-WCC Honorable Mention Maeve Bailey, San Francisco welcomes four transfers with collegiate experience in Piper Justiss (Pepperdine/Oklahoma), Petra Fritz (Seattle U), Jordan Smart (James Madison), and Andjela Sojic (New Mexico Junior College). Talula Lenoir, Adelynn Legates, True Takemoto, Emma Neukirchen, Elise Sergent, Katariina Korhonen, Simona Ivanova, and Laura Amaro will also make their collegiate debuts as incoming first-year players, giving the program a new look as it prepares for the season.
The 2026 campaign features 31 matches, made up of 13 nonconference and 18 West Coast Conference matches spanning across four months of competition. The season begins on the road in Utah when San Francisco faces off at Weber State in the Wildcat Invitational on August 28. The tournament will also feature matches against Belmont on August 29 and San Jose State on August 30 at Swenson Gym.
The green and gold open the new month at home to host CSU Bakersfield in a single match on September 1 at War Memorial at the Sobrato Center.
Two straight road tournaments follow the home opener when the Dons participate in the GCU Invitational at Global Credit Union Arena in Phoenix, Ariz., against Temple, Grand Canyon, and ULM on September 4-6 before traveling to Northridge, Calif., for The Ridge Invitational against Fresno State, CSUN, and UNLV on September 11-13 at Premier America Credit Union Arena.
San Francisco closes nonconference play on the Hilltop when it hosts the USF Challenge, its annual home tournament, at War Memorial at the Sobrato Center. The green and gold are set to host Texas Southern, Northern Arizona, and California Baptist on September 17-19.
Entering West Coast Conference play at the end of the season's second month, San Francisco hosts LMU and Pepperdine on September 24 and 26.
October features nine WCC matches, highlighted by a meeting at San Diego, the reigning conference champion, on October 29, at Jenny Craig Pavilion. The program will also make its first-ever trip to Denver, the league's newest member, on October 31.
In the final month of the season, San Francisco takes on Portland and Seattle U at home on November 5 and 7 before hitting the road for three straight contests at Santa Clara, Pacific, and Saint Mary's. The program concludes the regular season on the Hilltop, when it hosts Denver and San Diego on November 23 and 25.
